Civil Ceremonies
If your dream reception is a marquee at home or a tipi “wed-fest” in an open field or vintage bunting in a village hall then you'll be looking for somewhere to host your wedding ceremony: Friars Court could well be the ideal venue at which to celebrate the reason for your Big Day.
From the intimacy of the Red Dining Room to the neutural, more contemporary, Garden Room or from the Swedish Summer house, amid apple trees and lavender, to the romantic garden setting of the moat-side Rose Arbour, Friars Court's varied ceremony locations offers prospective couples real scope and choice.
We don’t restrict ceremony-only couples to certain times or days, nor do we shuffle them into a distant corner to make way for other, bigger, events. Our aim is for you to celebrate your ceremony in the location you want on the day you want at the time you want.
Ceremony hire covers a three hour period: the hour before during which guests and the registrars (or celebrant) arrive; the second hour during which the ceremony takes place with the remainder for guests to mix, chat, pause for photos with, perhaps, drinks.
Our licensed locations range from 6 to 80 people. We welcome civil, celebrant-led, and faith-based ceremonies.
